The Home page that holds the SugarCRM Dashlets is likely one of the most important pages in SugarCRM. Customizing this page to display information that is important to the user can significantly impact user adoption. This page gives the user the ability to make SugarCRM their own which assists with increasing efficiency and user satisfaction.

SugarCRM 6 offers multiple enhancements to the Dashlets which makes them easier to user and more configurable.

In SugarCRM Studio the administrator can now make more configuration options available to the user within the dashlet. The new administrative sections are Sugar Dashlet ListView and SugarDashlet Search.

Within the Sugar Dashlet ListView configuration area the Administrator can make more columns available to the user for use in the dashlet.

Using the Sugar Dashlet Search configuration area, the Administrator gives the user the capable to filter on more criteria within their Dashlet.

New AJAX functionality in SugarCRM 6 makes items appear and disappear which makes the CRM cleaner as a whole. One example of this is in the top right corner of each dashlet. The icons to edit, refresh and delete dashlets only become available when you hover over the dashlet.

Another way that SugarCRM is cleaner is with the Add Sugar Dashlet and Change Layout buttons. These were on each tab in the form of a downward arrow in previous versions which worked well be did add extra clutter to each tab. Now the options are on the right side of the screen and easier to locate and remember for new users.
