Over the past few weeks CRMStage has been doing a good bit of analysis of all CRM solutions on the market. In doing this we have downloaded a number of whitepapers which were created to tell us the top CRM solutions on the market. Many times we got the paper to discover new names of "top" CRM companies that we had never heard of. In conjunction, most of the time the chosen CRM solutions were in alphabetical order. These whitepapers can be very helpful for companies trying to research CRM solutions in order to make a list of companies they should contact for more information but they just didn't fit our purpose.

Currently CRMStage offers tutorials and articles mostly aimed at SugarCRM. The plan is to branch out past SugarCRM into other solutions in order to help as many CRM users as possible. In order to do this CRMStage needs to know which CRM to create tutorials for next. Instead of using whitepapers we decided to let Google tell us who is the most popular.

If you are picking a CRM to go with for your company then this methodology is not going to be the best route. It is good information to know because it gives you a glimpse into the ecosystem around the solution. We used Google to find the CRM solutions that people were searching on the most. This first round of analysis is based on a name search such as Microsoft CRM or Oracle CRM. If there was another more accurate search that was common then we went with it instead. For example: you can search for Microsoft CRM or Dynamics CRM, the first is more popular so it was used. The ordering is listed by the average monthly search volume followed by the current months volume to break ties.

In the future we plan to dive further down into these ranking to determine who is looking for the most customizations. This data is not only good for CRMStage but also consulting companies looking to expand their offerings. Without further adieu here are the rankings.
