In this tutorial we are going to go through the steps required to setup target lists in SugarCRM and MailChimp so that they are properly synchronized between the systems.

This tutorial assumes that you understand the steps required to create a target list in MailChimp

Section 1 - SugarChimp Instructions

After the SugarChimp Installation and configuration the administrator was presented with a detail view outlining how to setup MailChimp lists. The first step is to retrieve the WebHook URL detail in the administrative area. This can be done by logging in as an administrator or requesting the URL from your administrator.

Section 2 - MailChimp List Setup

For security purposes, MailChimp does not allow other integrated systems to create target lists. This means that any new target list must first be configured in the MailChimp interface.

1. Login to MailChimp

2. Click the Lists tab

3. Choose Create New List

4. Fill in all required fields

5. Save
6. Click View List

7. Click List Tools

8. Select WebHooks
9. In the callback URL field, paste the callback URL that was retrieved from SugarCRM in Section 1

10. Save

Section 3 - Mapping to SugarCRM

1. In the Campaigns dropdown, select Create Target List

2. Assign a name to the list
3. In the MailChimp List ID dropdown, select the list that was just created in MailChimp

4. Save

Your target list in MailChimp and SugarCRM are now mapped. If a new target is added on either side that target will be synchronized.

By default, the people added to MailChimp Lists will be synchronized to SugarCRM as Targets.
