So How Do I Update a Recipient’s Email Address?
The easiest way is to just do this from within MailChimp.
If that is not an option for you or your users, you can follow these steps:
- Remove the recipient from the Target List in SugarCRM. The recipient will be removed from the list in MailChimp.
- Make the change to the recipient’s email address in SugarCRM.
- Add the recipient to the Target List again in SugarCRM. The recipient will be added to the list in MailChimp with the new email address.
However, if the email address has already been changed, you should opt to follow these steps:
- Make the change to the recipient’s email address in SugarCRM. No change will yet be made in MailChimp.
- Remove the recipient from the Target List in SugarCRM (Again, no change in MailChimp).
- Add the recipient to the Target List again in SugarCRM. The recipient will be added to the list in MailChimp with the updated email address.
- Note that the recipient was added, not updated, so you will probably want to delete the old member (the old email address) from MailChimp.
